What this chapter covers

This chapter covers ships, boats and floating structures: passenger and cargo vessels, ferries, yachts and rowing boats, dredgers and floating cranes, floating docks and drilling platforms, and other floating structures such as rafts and buoys. Unfinished hulls and vessels presented unassembled or disassembled fall in heading 89.06 where they do not have the essential character of a particular kind of vessel. Certain subheadings apply only to sea-going vessels with a hull length of 12 m or more; fishing and rescue vessels built for sea-going service count as sea-going regardless of length.

• Cruise ships, excursion boats, ferries, cargo ships and barges (89.01)
• Yachts and other vessels for pleasure or sport, rowing boats and canoes (89.03)
• Vessels whose navigability is subsidiary to their main function: light-vessels, fire-floats, dredgers and floating cranes (89.05)
• Floating docks and floating or submersible drilling and production platforms (89.05)
• Other vessels including warships and lifeboats; unfinished hulls and disassembled vessels lacking the character of a specific type (89.06)
• Other floating structures: rafts, tanks, coffer-dams, landing stages, buoys and beacons (89.07)
• Vessels and other floating structures for breaking up — including spare parts and used interchangeable equipment when presented with them as part of their normal outfit (89.08)

1. İnşası bitmemiş veya tamamlanmamış gemiler ve gemi tekneleri ile inşası bitirilmiş gemilerin

sökülmüş veya henüz monte edilmemiş olanları, belirli bir tür geminin temel özelliklerine sahip

değilse, 89.06 pozisyonunda sınıflandırılır.
